Recruiting for Project Coordinator

Opening to coordinate the work of our small East London charity to enable the continued provision of valued activities and support for children and families living with HIV.  The role offers the opportunity to use and gain a wide range of skills and experience, across all areas of running an established charity in a season of change, including direct work with families and young people, coordinating the volunteer team,  responding to advocacy needs that arise, administration, finance and communications. Alongside You is currently undergoing a period of review and reflection, during which the trustees are carefully considering the charity’s future structure to best support its mission and community. As part of this process, we are seeking a Project Coordinator initially for a 9–12 month contract, to enable continuity of core service provision to families through this process. 

Our priority is to find a person who is the right fit for the heart and mission of our charity, sharing a commitment to the Christian faith that is central to our purpose and values. In light of the breadth of the role, we welcome applicants who have transferable experience and skills, and confidence to work independently with the oversight and support of the trustee team.  Therefore there is some flexibility when considering hours and core responsibilities.  The role is offered part time, 10-16 hours per week and these can be worked flexibly.  Some evening, weekend and school holiday work will be required for team meetings and outings.
